These are the instructors that will be teaching your classes in 2024. Each and every one of them is highly skilled and experienced, but just as important: they are always friendly and approachable.
Manager & Yoga Teacher - Vassiliki
Alex is an RYT600 qualified Yoga Instructor, Reflexologist and Reiki Practitioner.
Following successful careers as a Dancer and then as a TV Executive, she finished her first Yoga Teacher Training in Athens and went on to expand her studies in India, now collating 100s of hours of international teaching experience, including leading on a Yoga Teacher Training Course.
Her specialities are Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Yin. She also enjoys holding Nidra, Restorative, Meditation, Pranayama and Relaxation classes and inspiring others to improve mobility, wellness and commit to long term health goals. She is an avid SUP Yoga instructor.
Alex previously went on a Healthy Options holiday as a guest in 2015 and enjoyed it so much she set herself the goal to work for us one day. 2024 will be her 8th season with us, her 4th as Manager and as she now lives in Vassiliki, she couldn’t be happier to keep coming back!
Alex’s teaching style is fun and naturally flowing. She combines her knowledge of anatomy and the breath to create a safe space to practice in and give her students the opportunity to explore the mental and the physical aspects of Yoga with the intent to stay mobile and strong far into the future.
“As I evolve, I find my classes are more safety and mobility focused, but I still enjoy creating that balance of calmness and power when I teach and I allow my dance background to influence my classes in part. I want my students to leave feeling energised and happy!”
Alex’s sessions include emphasis on breath, energy, flow, anatomy, alignment, safety and relaxation; postures which will invigorate the physical and mental being, leaving you with a general sense of change, growth and wellness.
Pilates Teacher - Vassiliki
Leah will be joining our team for her second season teaching Pilates, and cannot wait to be working with our wonderful returning clients and all the new faces too! Leah came on holiday as a guest in 2022 and fell in love with both Vassiliki and Healthy Options, so she made it her mission to work as instructor here. After being diagnosed with early onset Osteoarthritis at ten years old, Leah discovered for herself the intrinsic link between mind and body and how Pilates based movement supported and strengthened this connection. Leah is a fully qualified personal trainer, fitness instructor, massage therapist and Pilates instructor and aims to make health and wellbeing accessible for every body, embracing and celebrating what makes us unique.
“When I first came on holiday to Healthy Options, my aim was simply to rest and recuperate after having just undergone a hip replacement, but I wasn’t expecting to find a place that combined personal care with my dream job! I discovered not only support, warmth and encouragement from the instructors and guests, but a family. A community of like-minded people regardless of their backgrounds or life-experiences. A place where I could feel safe and an environment where I could learn to love and explore my body and mind again. I knew I had found something special and I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to give back and share with our guests what was truly life changing for me”.
Yoga Teacher - Vassiliki
Stef is one of our Yoga teachers and she will be joining us for the third season this year at Healthy Options. 4 years ago, after training in Guatemala and a globe-trotting journey she has been able to share her practice and gained experience across borders. Her teaching spans the spectrum, catering to all levels and preferences from serene and restorative to more dynamic practices like Vinyasa flow and Hatha. Recently she finished a training in Integral Sound Healing and will join us this year with a range of Instruments to bring in the magic of Crystal Bowls,Drums, Chimes etc… to your classes.
Stef would describe her style of teaching as a creative way to explore different aspects of Yoga, including mindfulness, philosophy, alignment and connection to our subtle energies.
“I am so excited to return this season sharing my passion with you. My goal as a teacher is to help my students connect to themselves on a deeper, more energetic level, to pass on the depths of Yoga and have everybody feeling happy, liberated and empowered.”
Fitness Teacher - Vassiliki
We are really excited that our newest team member, Maria, is bringing her years of experience to the Healthy Options tent. Maria has been in the teaching and travel world since her first season in 2010; spending the winters running retreats and coaching fitness in the French Alps and the summers offering a huge array of fitness and holistic classes globally.
A highly experienced Yoga, Pilates and multi-qualified Personal Trainer, we’ll be making the most of her Fitness skills. She’ll be offering a wide range of classes, bringing her full-power, fun and energetic style to every session. Having taught in holiday environments before, Maria knows how to keep classes fun and engaging, whilst getting the most out of her athletes at the same time!
“After being lucky enough to teach all around the world, I finally settled in Vass a few years ago and am now really excited to be stepping into the Healthy Options world of Fitness. My aim is to make sure everyone is smiling, laughing and feeling fantastic- but you have to give me the sweat and a little grit too!”
We hope you have got fond memories of your holiday (or for the really lucky: holidays!) out with us in Vassiliki. All the team at Wildwind – in Greece, Mauritius and our office staff -...
